MAKERS GONNA MAKE CAMP 1

Back by popular demand but with an all new twist! The Makers Gonna Make Camp teaches children to create functional art by exploring ancient crafting techniques. From macrame to shibori to block printing and more! Your child will develop creative skills as well as learn the historical background of each craft. Plus they will bring home awesome projects worthy of showing off! $330/week ($297 early bird)

APOTHECARY ARTS

j u l y 1 - 3 (closed July 4 and 5)

Awaken your senses in this week’s camp. Children will make their own custom soap and body products using all natural ingredients. Every student will bring home their handcrafted creations to use themselves or give as a gift. $198/week ($179 early bird)

MAKERS GONNA MAKE CAMP 2

Create cool and functional art based on ancient crafting techniques. Children will create a variety of projects based on weaving, beading, fabric design and more. This camp is great on its own or as an addition to the Makers Gonna Make Camp 1. $330/week ($297 early bird)

ECO-FRIENDLY ART

Learn art-making techniques while doing your part in protecting the environment. In this camp we will use sustainable and eco-friendly materials to construct up-cycled works of art. $330/week ($297 early bird)

ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTORS

B Kneisley is a local artist and art teacher. She has taught “Eco-Arts and Crafts” as an after school class at Grandview Elementary over the past year. She earned her BFA in Creative Photography and Experimental Media at California State University, Fullerton. She is now pursuing her single subject teaching credential in art at California State University, Long Beach.

Sue Kneisley (B’s mother) has a BS in Child Development from the University of New Hampshire and an M.Ed in Child Study from Tufts University. She pursued a career as a Child Life Specialist and Program Director at Miller Children’s Hospital, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center before having children. “Miss Sue” has been teaching a kindergarten enrichment class in the Manhattan Beach schools for the last 10 years, as well as teaching children’s art classes in her home.
